Ram Introduces New ProMaster Electric Van

Zero emissions, no trips to the gas station, and unstoppable Ram power– the new Ram ProMaster van is about to change the way you do business. This groundbreaking vehicle is Ram’s first available fully electrified vehicle, and it’s the next step in Ram’s mission to offer the industry’s best options to you, electric vehicles included.

“The introduction of the Ram ProMaster EV represents another major milestone on our electrification journey as we continue to evolve without sacrificing capability,” said Tim Kuniskis, Ram brand CEO – Stellantis. “Ram’s first available electric vehicle is a game-changer, offering commercial customers, large and small, the ultimate van in zero-emissions performance, commercial capability and advanced technology.”

The new van will be available in two mission-specific configurations, including the delivery model and two cargo models. One will feature a 12-foot cargo length and the other will feature an extended 13-foot cargo length, both with 159-inch wheelbases. The ProMaster van will include a standard 110-kilowatt-hour (kWh) battery pack with a targeted range of up to 162 miles in city driving. The vehicle’s 200 kW electric drive module (EDM) will deliver 268 horsepower, 302 lb.-ft. of torque, and standard front-wheel-drive capability. With up to 3,020 pounds of payload capacity on the cargo van configuration and up to 2,030 pounds on the delivery van configuration, the Ram ProMaster van comes ready to work hard!

The ProMaster electric van was based on the standard ProMaster architecture but optimized for electrification, with a unibody design that incorporates the battery pack efficiently by placing it directly under the floor in the center of the vehicle, maintaining a flat load floor with unaltered cargo volume.

Plenty of fleet-friendly technology will be available on the ProMaster electric van, including Ram Telematics, which offers real-time vehicle diagnostics and performance data, and enables vehicle location and driving insights in order to help reduce fuel costs, improve route efficiency, and promote safer driving behaviors.

The introduction of the new ProMaster electric van is part of Ram’s role in Stellantis’ Dare Forward 2030 strategic plan to deliver innovative, clean, safe and affordable mobility solutions to the general market.
