Dodge Celebrates 20th Anniversary of HEMI-Powered Durango

Both the Dodge Durango and the classic HEMI engine are the stuff of legends in performance vehicles, reputations earned over two decades of production and quality. Dodge is taking the opportunity to celebrate the anniversary of the HEMI-powered Durango this year with the release of two special-edition vehicles: the 2025 Dodge Durango SRT Hellcat Silver Bullet and Dodge Durango R/T 20th Anniversary models.

These new special-edition vehicles are a celebration of the intensity that came from combining the iconic HEMI engine and the Dodge Durango back in 2004. “The HEMI engine has fueled the Dodge Durango for 20 years, and the supercharged 6.2-liter Hellcat V-8 HEMI engine option transforms the Durango into the most powerful SUV ever,” said Matt McAlear, Dodge brand CEO – Stellantis. “The Dodge Durango and the HEMI engine form a powerful pair, and with this announcement, Dodge continues to deliver HEMI power to enthusiasts and families alike.”

Improving the Dodge Durango SRT Hellcat– the most powerful SUV ever– is not an easy task, but it’s one that the team at Dodge has undertaken for the 2025 Dodge Durango SRT Hellcat Silver Bullet. This is the first special-edition model of the Durango SRT Hellcat, designed to go from 0 to 60 mph in 3.5 seconds. The Silver Bullet will also have a top speed of 180 mph and be able to cover a quarter of a mile in 11.5 seconds.

Meanwhile, the 2025 Dodge Durango R/T 20th Anniversary special edition is a perfect summation of the impressive performance and luxury that the Durango has evolved into over the years. The vehicle features 20-by-10-inch Y-spoke forged lightweight Brass Monkey wheels​, a black six-piston Brembo brake system, and the SRT Track Experience, making its debut on the Durango R/T and exclusive to the 20th Anniversary Edition. The Plus and Premium trim options for the vehicle add even more amazing features, such as a 19-speaker Harman Kardon system with an 825-watt amplifier, black roof rails, a power sunroof, and much more.
