2026 Durango Lineup Expands with V-8 Performance and Bold New Options

June 10th, 2025 by

Dodge has unveiled the 2026 Durango lineup, reaffirming its commitment to delivering muscular performance in a practical three-row SUV format. The new range includes the Durango GT, R/T, and the top-tier SRT Hellcat. The GT comes with a 3.6-liter V-6, the R/T offers a 5.7-liter HEMI V-8, and the SRT Hellcat continues as the most powerful gas SUV on the market with 710 horsepower.

Pricing starts at $38,495 for the GT and $49,995 for the R/T, not including a $1,995 destination charge. With seating for up to seven and over 85 cubic feet of cargo capacity, the Durango remains a standout for families looking for performance without sacrificing utility.

Engine Options and Performance

The GT’s 3.6-liter V-6 produces 295 horsepower and 260 lb-ft of torque, paired with an eight-speed automatic transmission. It comes standard with wireless Apple CarPlay and Android Auto, blind-spot monitoring, and a 10.1-inch Uconnect 5 touchscreen.

The R/T steps up with a 5.7-liter HEMI V-8 generating 360 horsepower and 390 lb-ft of torque. It features all-wheel drive, a performance-tuned suspension, a hood scoop, an Alpine sound system, wireless charging, and Uconnect 5. Dodge emphasizes that it’s the only V-8 SUV in its class priced under $50,000, and R/T sales made up 64% of Durango sales in Q1 2025.

The SRT Hellcat, returning for 2026, remains the range-topper with 710 horsepower, cementing its place as the most powerful gasoline-powered SUV ever. Dodge plans to release more details on the 2026 Hellcat later in Q3 2025.

New Styling and Appearance Packages

For 2026, Dodge is enhancing the R/T trim with new customization options, including the Blacktop Redline Package. Priced at $3,495, this package includes 20-by-8-inch Black Noise wheels, SRT-style front and rear spoilers, blacked-out HEMI and Dodge badging, and an SRT-inspired exhaust system. When paired with the Tow N Go package, buyers can upgrade to 20-by-10-inch Forged Lights Out wheels.

The Redline interior includes six leather and suede-trimmed SRT performance seats with red stitching, second-row captain’s chairs, and a unique laser-etched trim pattern. For buyers who prefer simpler cosmetic upgrades, the standard Blacktop Package adds black wheels, roof rails, and badges for $1,695.

Wheel options have been updated across the R/T lineup. The standard R/T features 20-by-8-inch Satin Carbon wheels, while the Tow N Go variant comes with 20-by-10-inch Satin Carbon wheels and black Brembo brake calipers.

Tow N Go Package and Capabilities

Returning for 2026, the Tow N Go Package is available as a $5,990 add-on for R/T models. It boosts the Durango’s towing capacity to 8,700 pounds and includes a range of performance upgrades: Brembo brakes, a limited-slip rear axle, adaptive damping suspension, widebody fender flares, high-performance exhaust, and SRT performance steering. It also unlocks exclusive drive modes through Uconnect’s Performance Pages. This package continues to be popular, with over 25% of R/T buyers choosing it in previous years.

Safety and Practicality

Every 2026 Durango comes with more than 60 safety and convenience features. These include blind-spot monitoring with trailer detection, trailer-sway control, rear cross-path detection, and adaptive cruise control with stop functionality. Seven airbags are standard, including full-length three-row side-curtain and front-seat thorax airbags. With over 50 seating configurations, the Durango balances daily utility with performance-oriented design.

Ordering for the 2026 Durango opens in June 2025, with deliveries scheduled to begin in the third quarter. The Hellcat variant will be detailed later in Q3.

The updated Durango lineup highlights Dodge’s effort to preserve V-8 power and bold styling in a market increasingly shifting away from performance SUVs. With strong sales momentum, new personalization options, and best-in-class towing, the 2026 Durango continues to offer a unique proposition for buyers who want power without compromising space or capability.
