Supercars? Please. Even the Lamborghini Aventador is no match for the all-new Dodge Durango SRT Hellcat’s massive power. With a 6.2L supercharged HEMI V8 engine that’s capable of turning out 710-horsepower and 645 pound-feet of torque, the Dodge Durango is the world’s most powerful production SUV. Back in October of last year, Hennessey Performance unveiled its new HPE1000 upgrade kit, which increases the Durango’s output to a ridiculous 1,012 horse-power and 969 pound-feet of torque. Keep in mind, this is a family-sized three-row SUV we’re talking about here.

Hennessey achieved this substantial performance boost by adding a 2.65L supercharger system, stainless steel long tube headers, and a high-flow air induction system, among other upgrades.

Anyway, fast-forward eight months, and the first customer example of the Dodge Durango HPE100 is ready to go. In an effort to show what this monster of an SUV can do, Hennessey pitted their Durango against a Lamborghini Aventador S

Traditionally, a two-doored supercar of this variety would wipe the track with a three-row SUV, but not this Dodge Durango, which offers nearly 300 more horsepower than its competition. Even still, the Aventador is significantly lighter and more aerodynamically-focused than the Durango. So, what could anyone reasonably expect to happen?
